Black women have to do better by black girls.

Stop teaching black girls they have to be wonder woman to be worthy of a man but turn around and allow black boys to act a fool. Stop teaching these boys they are princes no matter how they act but our girls have to follow decades of misogynoir just to be label “a good woman”. Stop shaming us for how our male family members look at us. Stop stomping respectability politics in to us and telling us than if we don’t fit that mold “ain’t no man gonna want you”.

Start protecting black girls, start cherishing black girls, start teaching them they are worth more than just a decorative piece for some ain’t shit man, that they are people that deserve to be happy however they please.

And this is just the shit that was beat into us but we need to do better by our girls coz we personally know just how much this shit hurts.

And lemme add that us lightskints needa talk to our girls about colorism. We needa protect the dark skinned girls from bullies and oppressors who will tell them all sorts of lies because of colorism. Stop letting people fuck up their self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-love over their beautiful dark skin. Sometimes its adults and not just the kids who perpetuate this bullshit by telling them not to go outside in the sun and they’re pretty “for a dark girl”. Stop that mess.

Cherish all Black girls including the fat ones, the dark skinned ones, the ones with 4c hair, the fast ones, the poor ones, the gay ones, the trans ones, just allllll the Black girls. All Black girls deserve safety and happiness 💖

"Baby I lied there's no gala. I brought you here because of our love for art. We enjoy traveling to museums, having artsy dates and even showcasing art about our baby🐶 in our own home. If someone could describe our love it could only be done through a work of art. It is happy, fun, chaotic, inspiring and strong. I want to keep discovering art for the rest of my life by your side. Chelsea Miller, will you marry me?" . Our proposal at @artinstitutechi #MeetTheRodriguez So happy she said yes 💍 I love you @cnicolem_ 💕 #proposal #video #marriageproposal #engagement #lgbt #museum #art #sscouple #iloveyou #helzbergdiamonds

So, I was hanging out with my friends after school and we played both of Frank Ocean’s Whites and synced them up…This is the beautiful result.

for some reason, my demons are quiet when you’re around.
